Teaching Farming and Gardening in Waldorf Schools
January 25, 2013 at 3:30 PM

Join three seasoned Waldorf gardening teachers who will share their experiences of creating successful school farm and garden programs. Topics include garden-based woodworking, herbal studies, growing and processing grains, and integration of classroom math and science lessons. This curriculum is based on a century of research conducted at Waldorf Schools and in Biodynamic Agriculture. School farms and gardens support a child’s healthy physical, mental and spiritual development, fostering a direct relationship with nature.

Presenters: Carolyn Brown, Therapeutic Gardening, Redwood Valley, CA; Ronnie Sands, Summerfield Waldorf School, Santa Rosa, CA; Anastasia Zaikine Sinclair, Waldorf School of the Peninsula, Mountain View, CA.
